Step 1 / 5

12/5/2012

this is the first picture I took

The tree is already in training for 1.5 years ( most of the time was used to stabilize the tree and regain his health because I bought him in a very bad condition )

in the summer of 2011, I cut a very big and straight branch that had no place in any future design ( you can see the scar in the 2nd picture )

I used the branch as a new cutting and created a new bonsai tree out of it...

Step 2 / 5

23/3/2013

1st pic - Tree after Defoliating ( removing most of the leaves so it will be easy to see what is going on and do the wiring )

2nd pic - after wiring the tree - I've wired only the branches that had any meaning for the future design

3rd picture - the tree from another angle - you can see the big scar after the removal of the big branch

Step 3 / 5

7/4/2014

You can see that in the past year the tree development was very good, the new leader has developed a lot :)

I did a re-potting and moved the tree to a new container, I found out that the roots condition was bad, many black-rotten roots and a very few good roots :( the new soil mix was small crushed tuff, ordinary nursery soil and perlite

Step 4 / 5

20/8/2014

4 months after the re-potting the tree is doing great

You can see the wires I am using to pull the branches down

Step 5 / 5

26/9/2015

year as passed and the tree is happy :)

in the 2nd picture you can see I cut a part of an important branch

in the 3rd picture - you can see the new angle I am planning to do in the next re-potting
