In 117AD Emperor Trajan died. Due to his harsh policies, the local population rebelled. Help from outside the province from the sarmatian tribes (Roxolani & Iazyges) made the uprising a major problem for the roman administration. Hadrian, in person, took command restoring the "roman peace". An era of internal unrest and invasion followed through the whole history of the province, till 275AD, when, for good, the romans abandoned Dacia.
