A very nice detailed resin model kit from YS Masterpieces.Very clear resin cast,perfect photoetched,accompanied with the best building quide that I have ever seen in resin kit.(good job Yiannis!!!).
Building the model straight from the box is not our case.I was asked to rebuilt the model as it is now exposed now in Nautical park Museum in marina of Floisvos (Athens,Greece).It is a demanding job as I have to consult as many photoes as possible......a lot of scratchbuild,many coffe cups and cigarettes and a lot of patience. During the construction ,i was asked to represent a second warship,which is also at the Museum .The second warship is Velos destroyer ,which has also a brave history .Although there was not my customer's demand for a detailed representation of this ship,as it was to be within the scenery backround of Averof,it was also improved .This was done by the use of PE set from FlagShip models (as you can notice in the photos).I have used the Trumpeter model.The figures in 1:350 were from 4D models and Larsenal.The vehicles and the yahts are 4D models too.All paintings have been done using Vallejo colors.The sea scape has been paint by oils over a layer of acrylics and a lot of acrylic gel.
